Food crops consist of vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes (including dried beans), spices, herbs, seeds and nuts, beverage plants such as tea and coffee, and so forth. Carrots, cabbages are examples of vegetables which come under the category of food crops. The crops that are grown to feed the human population are known as food crops.
