Fundamental duties are the duties that every citizen is expected to perform to help promote a spirit of patriotism and to uphold the unity of India.Part IV A of the Constitution of India deals with Fundamental Duties. Fundamental duties go hand in hand with Fundamental rights,without performing their duties sincerely, citizens can not truly benefit from government acts and policies directed toward the country's progress.
An example of fundamental duty is the duty of every citizen to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women.
