Ganglion:
A cluster of neural bodies containing a number of nerve cells outside the central nervous system typically linked by a synapse is called a ganglion.
They are found in the head, neck, thoracic and abdominal organs.
Nerve signals to and from the central nervous system are carried out by ganglia.
Examples are dorsal root ganglia and autonomic ganglia.
