Growth inhibitors of different sorts have been recognized in the plants.
The best-described one is the abscisic corrosive that is synthetically connected with cytokinins.
Presumably, it is generally dispersed in the higher plants and contains an assortment of activities; for instance, it advances the abscission (which is the leaf fall), the lethargy improvement in buds, and the potato tuber's development.
Abscisic corrosive's component of activity is obscure, yet including direct hindrance of protein and RNA synthesis is accepted.
