  • Kharif: The summer crops are called Kharif crops. These crops are sown with the onset of rains in July. Bajra, Jowar, rice, sugarcane are some of the major kharif crops
  • Rabi: The winter crops are called the rabi crop. They are sown by October end and harvested by the months of March and April. Some of the major Rabi crops are wheat , mustard and peas
  • Zaid: the crops that are grown between March and June are called zaid crops. Muskmelon, watermelon, and bitter gourd are some of the major zaid crops.
