Metallic hydrides are non-stoichiometric hydrides formed by many d-block and f-block elements.They are almost always non-stoichiometric and deficient in hydrogen. These hydrides conduc heat and electricity. for example, LaH287,YbH255etc.
Molecular hydrides are covalent and volatile in nature.for example,CH4.some of the differences between molecular and metallic hydrides are shown here
