The fact that employing children i.e. anyone below 18 years of age in the bangle making industry is illegal is ignored by most bangle-makers. Being a hazardous industry, many children become blind before they reach adulthood. If the law were enforced strictly, then around 20,000 children would be released from the hard and dangerous work they do everyday and get educated.
