What are natural and artificial ecosystems? Give two examples of each.

Ecosystem

1. An ecosystem is defined as the interactions of organisms with each other and with their physical environment.
2. It possesses both living (biotic) and nonliving (abiotic) components.
3. Artificial ecosystems: They are man-made ecosystems, created and maintained by him, eg, orchards, gardens, parks, crop fields, aquariums and spaceships.
4. Natural Ecosystems: They are self regulating ecosystems without any major interference by man.
5. They are of two types: terrestrial and aquatic.
