What are non-ohmic resistance? Give two examples.

Open in App
Solution

Non-Ohmic resistance:

  1. Non-ohmic resistance refers to conductors that don't observe Ohm's law.
  2. Due to the temperature coefficient, the resistance of some materials changes with the temperature.
  3. Thus, the current passing through the resistance is not directly proportional to the voltage across the resistance.
  4. LEDs, solar cells, junction diodes, and different comparable gadgets are examples.
