Non-stoichiometric compounds have elemental composition in which proportins cannot be represented by integers. Small percentage of atoms are missing or too many atoms are packed into lattice. Example of non-stoichiometric compound is $F{e}_{0.95}O$. Example of stoichiometric compound is $FeO$.
