Nuclear envelope contains a large number of pores or perforations. It controls the passage of substances to the inside or outside of the nucleus. It helps in the transport of proteins and RNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm and also transport the carbohydrates, signaling molecules and lipids moving into the nucleus.
