OCs are the oral contraceptives which are used in the form of pills. The oral contraceptive pill is a daily pill that contains hormones to change the way the body works and prevent pregnancy.
Estrogen and progestin are the two different types of oral contraceptives used to prevent pregnancy. These pill contains the combination of estrogen and progesterone hormone which prevents ovulation. The women will not become pregnant if she does not ovulate. These pills thicken the mucus around the cervix because of which the sperm will not be able to reach the uterus.
