There are no such things called particulatex.Did you mean particulates?
Atmospheric aerosol particles, also known as atmospheric particulate matter, particulate matter (PM), particulates, or suspended particulate matter (SPM) are microscopic solid or liquid matter suspended in Earth's atmosphere. The term aerosol commonly refers to the particulate/air mixture, as opposed to the particulate matter alone. Sources of particulate matter can be natural or anthropogenic. They have impacts on climate and precipitation that adversely affect human health.
Examples:
- dust, soil, sea salt raised by the wind (the so-called "marine aerosol")
- fires
- microorganisms
- pollen and spores
- rock erosion
- volcanic eruption
- engine combustion emissions from internal combustion (trucks, cars, aeroplanes)
- residual parts from worn road surfaces, car brakes and tires
- domestic heating emissions (in particular fuel oil, coal and wood)
- emissions from mechanical work, cement works and building yards
- agricultural work
- incinerators and electric power stations
- tobacco smoke
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are the aromatic particulates.
Exmaples:
The simplest such chemicals are naphthalene, having two aromatic rings, and the three-ring compounds anthracene and phenanthrene.
PAHs are uncharged, non-polar molecules found in coal and in tar deposits. They are also produced by the incomplete combustion of organic matter (e.g., in engines and incinerators, when biomass burns in forest fires, etc.).
