Pathogen:

1. The different types of agents, such as bacteria, fungi, algae, viruses, etc. which cause diseases in animals and plants, are known as pathogens.
2. They may cause physiological malfunctioning.
3. Pathogens spread disease by air, water, and through potential vectors, also spread through contact.
4. Some pathogens live as parasites in the host body and cause diseases.
