Solution

Platelets -

  1. Platelets are minute fragments of blood cells that help in the formation of clots in the body to stop bleeding.
  2. Any damage in the blood vessels sends signals to the platelets.
  3. The platelets rush to the site of damage and form clots to repair the damage.
  4. Coagulating factors are proteins present in blood plasma that helps in converting fibrinogen to fibrin, which strengthens the platelet plug.
