What are polyploids? Write their limitations.

Polyploids are cells or organisms containing multiple sets (more than 2 sets) of chromosomes. Polyploidy condition (3x, 4x etc., ) is seen more often in plants, fish, and amphibians. Though there are many advantages of polyploidy there are certain limitations; difficulty in cell mitosis and meiosis processes and also polyploids have lower fertility with slow growth.
