  3. Amoeboid protozoans, flagellated protozoans, ciliated protozoans, and sporozoans are the four primary groups of protozoans.
  4. Many protozoa cause diseases in animals and humans. For example - Plasmodium causes malaria.
  5. Examples - Amoeba, Euglena, Trypanosoma.
