The sexually transmitted diseases are the group of diseases which can be transmitted from one infected individual to the other individual during the process of sexual intercourse. There are many diseases which are included in this group.
Chlamydia is a disease caused by the bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis.
AIDS (Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is a disease which is caused by the infection of the HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).
Gonorrhoea is caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
Genital herpes is a contagious infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
