Solution
ATP:
The chemical ATP, or adenosine triphosphate, carries energy within cells.
It is produced via photophosphorylation (adding a phosphate group to a molecule using light energy), cellular respiration, and fermentation, and is the cell's principal source of energy.
A cell's energy currency is ATP. Plants need energy for a variety of functions, including the active movement of chemicals and ions, photosynthesis, protein synthesis, intracellular signalling, DNA and RNA synthesis, and so on.
Plants produce ATP by cellular respiration, but it's also used in some glycolysis stages.
