What are stomata and lenticels? What is their role in respiration

Stomata are the tiny openings or pores present in the epidermis of the leaves, each stomata is composed of a pair of specialised sclerenchyma cells known as guard cells which of bean shaped that controls the opening and closing of stomata. Whereas, lenticels are spongy areas present in the stems. Phellogen at certain regions cuts off closely arranged parenchymatous cells on the outer side instead of cork cells. These parenchymatous cells ruptured the epidermis and formed lens shaped openings called as lenticels.
Stomata regulates the process of transpiration that is water vapour is released in the atmosphere and gaseous exchange. While lenticels permits the exchange of gases between the outer atmosphere and the internal tissue of the stem.
