Question

What are strong acids and bases in chemistry?

Open in App
Solution

Strong acids and bases are the ones which dissociate completely in a solution. For, example HCl is a strong acid and dissociates completely into H+ and Cl- ions in the solution. Similarly, NaOH dissociates completely in solution.
Also, we can determine the strength by pH, strong acids have pH 0 to 1. strong bases have pH 12-14
