  1. Angiosperms are flower-producing and seed-bearing plants.
  2. They possess the most advanced plants within the kingdom Plantae.
  3. It has 300,000 species.
  4. It consists of 80 percent of all living green plants.

Classes-

Angiosperms are divided into two classes. They are-

  1. Monocotyledons: Plants that have an embryo with a single cotyledon. Eg: Lily, grass, etc.
  2. Dicotyledons: Plants having an embryo with two cotyledons is known as dicotyledon plant. Eg: roses, sunflowers, apples, etc.
