Solution

Largest veins in the body:

  1. The body's blood travels through blood vessels which act as conduits.
  2. They create a circuit-like closed loop that starts and finishes at your heart. Your circulatory system is made up of blood vessels and heart vessels.
  3. The largest veins in the body are superior vena cava and inferior vena cava.
    1. Superior vena cava:
      1. The blood is carried all the way to the heart from the upper body parts such as the neck, head, arms, and upper chest.
      2. A huge, important vein called the superior vena cava is in charge of bringing the body's deoxygenated blood back to the heart.
      3. Blood returning from structures above the diaphragm is handled by the superior vena cava.
    2. Inferior vena cava:
      1. The blood is carried all the way to the heart from the lower body parts such as feet, legs, pelvis, and organs in the abdomen.
      2. Deoxygenated blood from the lower limbs and belly is transported back to the right atrium of the heart by the IVC, a sizable blood artery.
      3. It is a thin-walled conduit with the biggest diameter in the venous system.
