Children's locomotor skills allow them to move through a variety of surroundings, shifting their bodies from one location to another.
Some locomotor skills are:
Skipping - To move with quick, light steps and jumps
Running - Humans and other animals may move quickly on foot by using the terrestrial locomotion technique known as running.
Jumping -To suddenly raise your legs and propel yourself into the air, the kids were leaping about in excitement.
Hopping -A leaping motion known as "hopping" is getting off with one foot and landing with that same foot.
Galloping -The quick, springy gait of a four-legged animal, especially a horse, when all four of its feet lift off the ground simultaneously.
Sliding -To move or cause to move smoothly over a surface
Walking -A behavior or instance of walking, typically for recreation or exercise stroll around the neighborhood for a while.
Leaping -The word "leap" is another synonym for "jump," but it conjures up a distinct mental picture: one of lightness and speed, possibly with a bit more spring in the movement than a typical jump.
