what are the advantage of beekeeping

Bee keeping or apiculture is a technique of growing bees in hives on large scale for the purpose of extraction of honey and wax. Apiculture is done in areas around rich flora, so that bees can collect good amount of nectars from flowers.
ADVANTAGES OF BEEKEEPING:
1.Farmers use it as an additional income generating activity. It is less time and capital consuming and in turn give high yield of honey and wax.
2. It does not involve use of much resources. Bee keeping the rearing of bees on a large scale for the commercial purpose of obtaining honey,bee wax etc.
3. It is mainly doing because these are side activities and need not much investments and attentions and also they are not wasting any time when there is no work to do because of seasonal unemployment.
4.Honey, wax and royal jelly are some products of beekeeping.
5.Bee keeper keeps beehives in the crop field during flowering period in order to get more honey.
In flowering period, most flowers are found to be blooming. Honeybee collects nectar from these flowers using its long tube like tongues. This nectar remain inside the honey bee stomach for sometime where it gets mixed with bee's protein & enzymes. As a result nectar finally gets converted to honey. This honey is released and accumulated by bee in its comb till it gets fully filled with it. In this way beekeeper gets large amount of honey from beehives.
