What are the advantages and disadvantages of manuscripts?

The word manuscript literally means ‘handwritten’. They provide evidence of human activity, and as such, are generated naturally during the course of an individual’s or an organization’s life. Scholars often use these manuscripts, however, for purposes unrelated to the reasons the documents were created.

Advantages:

1. time management
2. word-choice management
3. when the style is critical — elegant language

Disadvantages:

1. lack of touch with the pupils
2. lack of natural voice
