Solar cooker.

A device that uses the energy of direct sunlight to cook food is called a solar cooker. The box-type solar cooker seems to be the most prevalent type of solar cooker.

Box-type solar cooker

  1. The box is made of insulated metal as well as wood and is dark underneath to collect additional heat.
  2. As such a cap over the box, a covering constructed of two sheets of glass joined together with an aluminum framework would be employed.
  3. Hinges are used to secure the plane mirror reflector to the box. The mirror reflector may be angled to every desired angle with respect to the box. This same mirror would be situated such that the reflected sunlight falls on the container's hinged lid.
  4. Box contains a collection of blackened aluminum jars exterior.

Advantages of solar cooker

  1. It is cost-effective to use a solar cooker since there is no charge for utilizing solar energy.
  2. A solar cooker produces no pollutants.
  3. The solar cooker is simple to use, and there is no danger of injury.
  4. The nutrients in food are not eliminated or damaged.

Disadvantages of solar cooker

  1. Solar energy is not accessible everywhere and at all times.
  2. Cooking food takes longer.
  3. The solar cooker's orientation should be altered in real-time to face the Sun.
  4. It cannot be used to cook anything.
