Bio-mass is an excellent fuel, it burns without smoke and leaves no residue like ash or soot after burning. Its heating capacity is also high but not the highest. Hydrogen has the highest calorific value. Also, large scale utilisation of sewage material is feasible. Burning of biomass fuel produces carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas but it is 25 times less potent greenhouse gas than methane. So if we do not burn the methane, it would cause more greenhouse effect.
