The United Nations Organization was formed In The Year 1945 After the Devastation of World War II.

The main objectives are:

  • To maintain inter­national peace and security;
  • To encourage international cooperation in the spheres of social, economic and cultural developments;
  • To develop friendly relations among nations on principles of equal rights and self- determination;
  • To recognize the fundamental rights of all people.

The six organs are:

  1. The General Assembly,
  2. The Security Council,
  3. The Economic and Social Council,
  4. The Trusteeship Council,
  5. The International Court of Justice and
  6. The Secretariat.
