  1. The cockroach is an invertebrate insect that does not have a backbone.
  2. Movement is the ability of organisms to change position, by using their body parts.

Body structure:

  1. The outer hard exoskeleton is made of a number of plates joined together which permit movement of the body.
  2. Cockroaches can walk, climb as well as fly in the air.
  3. They have three pairs of legs that help in walking and two pairs of wings for flying.
  4. They also have different muscles, that are present near the legs to help in the walking.
  5. These body muscles also help in moving wings when cockroaches fly.
