What are the causes and effects of disasters in hilly areas? (in detail)

There are different reasons for recurring disaster in the hilly areas. few of these reasons are as follows:

1) Tremendous expansion of roads and transportation causing the mountains to be brought down
2) Rampant construction of dams
3) Deforestation of the hills

Due to these factors disaters such as landslides, floods, aggravated results of earthquakes have become but very common.
