Challenges for human resource development in Nepal are:
1. Hiring and Retention of middle managers: Retention is main challenge faced by Nepal. Competent manpower is hard to retain for more than a year. Quality middle managers are not available in organisations. Continuos changing of human resources in an organisation does not lead to effective functioning.
2. Lack of Human resource development policy: Many of business houses are owned by family and they do not feel the need for proper Human resource development policy framework which is essence of every organisation.
3. Worst supervisory management: Supervisory management is worst in Nepal. They have very low formal education and does not possess any special skill. For human resource development , supervisory management needs to be trained and educated.
