The characteristic property of non-combustible organic compounds are :

) They are non volatile in nature.

b) They have low melting and boiling points.

c) They are generally insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents.

d) They are bad conductors of electricity.

e) They do not furnish ions. They show molecular reactions.

Action of heat
These compounds are slightly stable towards heat. They do not readily decompose on heating at high temperature. Some of them decompose on heating leaving a black residue.

Combustion:-
These compounds do not readily burn in air.

NOTE : Most of the organic compounds are highly combustible.
