Characteristics of forests soils:
These soils are found in hilly and mountainous areas with a sufficient amount of rainforest.

The soil texture on the valley side is loamy and silty.
In the Himalayan snow-covered areas, these soils are depleted and acidic, with minimal humus content.
In the valley's lower reaches, fertile soils can be found, particularly on river terraces and alluvial fans.
