Solution

Archaebacteria:

  1. They are the members of the kingdom monera.
  2. These are the most ancient bacteria found in the most extreme habitats such as salty areas (halophiles), hot springs (thermoacidophiles) and marshy areas (methanogens).
  3. The structure of the cell wall is different from that of the other bacteria which helps them survive in extreme conditions.
  4. The nucleotide sequences of its t-RNA and r-RNA are unique.

Chemical used:

The chemicals include ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), or methane (CH4). Archaebacteria can prepare their own amino acids and proteins in presence of any one of the chemicals mentioned above.
