Brain:
The coordinating and the central information processing organ of our body is called the brain.
It lies in the cranium cavity of the skull.
The brain is divided into three parts, forebrain (prosencephalon), Midbrain (mesencephalon) and hindbrain (rhombencephalon).
Hindbrain:
It comprises pons varolii, cerebellum and medulla oblongata.
Pons interconnect different regions of the brain.
The cerebellum is the second largest part of the brain, the cerebellum control rapid muscle activities, such as running, typing, taking etc. It also helps to maintain body equilibrium.
The medulla oblongata contains a centre which controls respiration, cardiovascular reflex and gastric secretions.
