What are the components of political parties? Explain in detail.

A political party is an organized group of people whose main aim is to contest elections, come to power and retain power. Parties divide the society on the basis of ideologies that its supports and endorses.Parties involve partisanship where people show affiliation to a particular party and its ideology
Its important elements/components are:

a. Leader who is actively propagating his/her party's programme and beliefs and is leading the party from the front,
b. Active members who are associated with it , who may/may not contest elections
c. Followers who believe in its programmes and ideas
d. Faith in constitutional and peaceful methods.
e. A common shared collective interest and aim to be held by its members.
