Matter is anything that is made of atoms and molecules which has mass and occupies space. Based on physical status it is classified into three types namely solids, liquids and gases.

Based on physical status it is classified into three types namely solids, liquids and gases. Solids have definite shape, volume.  Liquids do not any shape it will get the shape of the container but posses fixed volume.  Gases have no definite shape and volume.
