BUNA-N BUNA-S
(1) Monomers 1,3-butadiene and acrylonitrile.
(2) Also called as Nitrile-Butadiene-Rubber (NRB).
(3) It is formed by polymerization of 1,3-butadiene and acrylonitrile in the presence of sodium.
(4) Used in making oil seals, manufacturing of tanks,etc.
(1) Monomers:1,3-butadiene and styrene.
(2) Also called as Styrene-Butadiene-Rubber (SBR).
(3) It is formed by the polymerization of 1,3-butadiene and styrene in the ratio 3:1 in the presence of sodium.
(4) Used for making automobile tyres , etc.
