what are the differences between particle velocity and wave velocity?

Dear Student,

The wave velocity is the velocity with which the disturbance travels through a medium whereas the particle velocity is the velocity of the the vibrating particles about their mean positions.
The wave travels with uniform velocity whereas the particle velocity is different at different vibrating positions.
