Cultural evolution of man:

  1. The cultural evolution took place when the Cro-Magnon man evolved into the modern man.
  2. This evolution involved the change of the Cro-Magnon man from being hunters to producers.
  3. Religion and society were the two factors that lead to this evolution.

Ages of cultural evolution:

Paleolithic age:

This age involved the use of stone tools and bones.

Mesolithic age:

The modern man was involved in reading, writing, and practicing animal husbandry during this age.

Neolithic age:

Agriculture was practiced during this age along with the use of utensils and clothes.

Hence, the different ages of cultural evolution in man include the Paleolithic age, Mesolithic Age and the Neolithic age.
