Hemichordate:

  1. It has a worm-like body.
  2. Their body is divided into three parts namely the proboscis, collar, and trunk.
  3. They have a pharynx that is perforated by gill slits.
  4. They have a buccal diverticulum that originates from the buccal cavity.
  5. It is regarded to be equivalent to the notochord.
  6. It is hollow from the inside and is also known as the stomochord.
  7. The buccal diverticulum is an anterior projection of the digestive tract.
