Answer: The Environment consists of four domains. They are as follows:
Atmosphere: The atmosphere is the thin layer around the earth that consists of air. It consists of several different gases, water vapour and other environmental by-products. The atmosphere protects the earth from harmful rays, and helps regulate the temperature.
Hydrosphere: The hydrosphere is the domain that consists of water. This domain consists of the different water bodies like oceans, lakes, rivers etc.
Lithosphere: The lithosphere is the crust of the earth. It consists of rocks, minerals, landforms like mountains, hills, soil etc. The lithosphere is an important domain as it provides the land for agriculture, grazing all of which is essential for living organisms.
Biosphere: The biosphere is the domain where all life forms like humans, plants, animals live. It is also the domain where all the other three domains co-exist.
