What are the different forms of power sharing in modern democracy

There are two levels at which modern day democracies power sharing is done. These are:-

Horizontal power sharing :- This type of sharing ensure that different organs of democracy share power at the same level and none interfere with each other's affair,and none can exercise unlimited power. legislature , executive and judiciary are kept all in the horizontal line for the smooth functioning of the governance.

Vertical power sharing :-This type of power is shared between different level of governance.They all are put into vertical line according to their importance and broadness.In this, federal or union government is kept at the highest level and state government at second number and local bodies of governance are kept at the last place.
