What are the different type of musical instruments? Give one example of each?

Musical instruments are the device that is used to produce Musical sound.

All musical instruments have a characteristic sound of their own.

There are four categories of musical instruments:-

1. Stringed Instrument- Stringed instrument produces sound due to the vibration of the strings tightly attached to the ends of the instrument. Example- guitar, violin, sitar, etc.
2. Percussion instrument- an instrument that produced sound when a tightly stretched membrane is struck or beaten. Example tabla Dholak.
3. Wind instrument- The sound in the wind instrument is produced due to the vibration of air molecules in closed in the air column of the instrument. exam flute, shehnai, etc.
4. Reed instrument- instrument having thin metal strip called read. when the air is blown through the lens comment the read vibrates and produces. Example harmonium.
