on the basis of physical state colloids are of 8 types:
Aerosol (liquid in gas), emulsion(liquid in liquid), gel(liquid in solid)
foam(gas in liquid), solid foam (gas in solid),
solid aerosol(solid in gas), solid sol(solid in solid), sol(solid in liquid)
