Some of the known minerals and their deficiencies are as follows:

  1. Hypocalcemia:
  • Hypocalcemia is when there is too little calcium in your blood due to lack of Vitamin D.
  • Its symptoms include numbness & tingling, twitching in hands, face, and feet, scaly skin, etc.

2. Anemia:

  • Anemia is caused due to iron deficiency.
  • Without enough iron, your body cannot produce enough red blood cells to enable them to carry oxygen.
  • Its symptoms include pale skin, irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, fatigue, etc.

3. Hypokalemia:

  1. Hypokalemia is when the amount of potassium in the blood is very low.
  2. Potassium is an important electrolyte for the functioning of nerve and muscle cells.
  3. Its symptoms include heart palpitations, fatigue, muscle weakness and spasms, etc.
