Solution

Exploiting any source of energy disturbs the environment in some way or other like the burning of fossil fuels causes air pollution.

1. Increasing demand for energy makes excessive use of conventional sources of energy which are limited in nature. Thus energy crisis for future may be caused.
2. In some cases, the actual operation of a device like the solar cell may be pollution free, but the assembly of the device would have caused some environmental damage.
3. Some renewable energy systems actually create environmental problems, for instance, older wind turbines can be hazardous to flying birds.
4. Another environmental issue, particularly with biomass and biomass and biofuels, is the large amount of land required to harvest energy, which otherwise could be used for other purposes.

Following steps can be suggested to minimize the pollution caused by various sources of energy:

1. Avoiding misuse of energy shall reduce the energy consumption.
2. Usage of alternative sources of energy like solar energy, wind energy, hydro energy and energy of sea or non-renewable source of energy should reduce the energy consumption.
