  1. A work is said to be done if we applied a force on an object and the object moves to a distance.
  2. So work done W=F.s
  3. Where F is the applied force and s is the displacement in the direction of the force.
  4. If a force is applied to an object and no displacement is seen in the direction of force no work is said to be done.
  5. So for work to be done;
  6. An applied force and the displacement in the direction of force are required.
  7. Hence, applied force and displacement in the direction of force are the essential conditions for work to be done.
