Tropism:
Tropism occurs when a plant responds to a stimulus by exhibiting some growth movement.
Tropism is determined by the stimulus's direction.
Plants can respond to a stimulus in one of two ways: negatively or positively.
Hydrotropism:
Hydrotropism is a plant's response to a stimulus or gradient in water concentration that determines the direction of growth.
As they move and grow towards the water, roots exhibit a positive hydrotropic response.
Examples of hydrotropism:
Tomato root
